okay, now I read the title and I feel like an idiot....but your idea is hilarious keep up that great work
Oh my goodness, this is absolutely incredible work, the detail is amazing! That lighting looks fantastic, I love the shininess of the Alien's exoskeleton, it's so reflective and realistic looking! Really like the intricate detail that you put into the nest and the Alien's armor as well, such as the patterns and stripes, it gives them a very animal-like appearance! I also love the fogginess of the Alien's nest, you can really feel the moisture and humidity surrounding the area, not to mention it also really adds that atmosphere and ominous mood that the Aliens series is known for! The Queen herself is so large and intimidating, I really like that she's partially hidden among the mist in the background, I think it really adds to that atmosphere and looks very spooky (and makes her look even scarier!)!
Geralt himself also looks incredible! The detail in his armor and hair is awesome and his expression and stance really show that he's ready to take them all on! Also love that fire ignited in his hand, it's so bright and flaring and gives such a good impression of a hot, raging blaze!
As for who would win, I'm not quite sure! Geralt would definitely put up a good fight, being an experienced monster hunter and all, but I think that the Aliens would definitely give him a run for his money, especially since it looks like he's going up against the whole hive plus the Queen (and also appears to have his feet a little stuck in the hive's webbing!); it would definitely be one cool fight to watch! XDDD
Absolutely fantastic work on this! And congratulations on your DD!
i'm guessing the tube connecting his sword to his Armour has some kind of liquid that can resist the effects of the Xenomorphs acid blood? would explain why his sword isn't melting from the facehugger
even still, your average adult Xenomorph would be more then a match for a veteran witcher like geralt. by measuring the pros and cons of each, i'd say the Xeno's have this in the bag
+ your weakest Xenomorph life form still has super strength and lethality (and animal furry), enough that they could easily overpower a human or witcher
+ acid blood, you might have something on your sword but you can still burn to death
+ team work, and in this case, superior numbers (its like quality vs quantity)
+ any surface movement, attack from anywhere
+ heightened senses, the kind a witcher wish they had
+ superior physiology/biology, they can lose a limb or two and keep coming, even when close to death they are still dangerous
+ fearless, they don't fear of death
+ armored exo-skeleton
+ near infinite stamina/energy
+ all Xeno's are "born veterans" they just don't have the scars (they are born with the instinct of killing and capturing effectively, something humans and witchers have to learn)
+ relentless and unfeeling
(in many cases) + lay of the land (they know their way around)
+ the queen, stronger, faster, tougher and more intelligent then most other Xeno's
+ Hive mind
- vulnerable to fire (most are anyway, queen is resistant, though it varies)
- eggs can sort of be used as distractions (they value eggs over most anything else)
+/- Intelligence can be debated, but they are fairly smart, and know how to cut power to facilities and attack lone targets
+ veteran witcher
+ trial of grasses, a human plus enhanced reflexes, senses and physiology
+/- potions, provide an edge, but without it....
+/- weapons, Armour and equipment. barehanded, not much of a threat, but armed your more dangerous, but they can degrade, if not melt and break
+ magic, ingi specifically, plus other spells
+/- emotions and stamina; anger provides strength, fear provides adrenaline. but you can still tire out (most other emotions are absent)
+/- humans can be persistent, but your still only human
+/- fear of death, he doesn't want to die, it may cause him to work a bit better, but may also cause him to slip up
- soft flesh and bones, the flesh is weak, and human bones snap like twigs compared to a xeno
But I like your analysis
a xenomoroh can hold an automatic door with the force of its hands alone while 3-4 men are trying to close it (aliens). they can also tear through/bash through inches of reinforced steel and other materials that a human requires time, effort and tools to get through.
a predator has enough strength to either equal, or surpass a xenomorph in CQC (in some, if not, most instances), and predators can tear humans in half with their bare hands, and that's only for human-bred xenomorphs, but even they have their own advantages, such as effortlessly impaling and lifting a predator (AvP)
if i recall correctly, the trial of grasses allows one to survive witcher potions and grant enhanced speed and strength to the witcher, geralt has more strength then your usual witcher. enough to rip a mans head off? enough to tear through Armour, steel or other materials? apparently not.
the face hugger has enough strength to over power any human, it took, again, 3-4 men in their peak form to try and wrestle a face hugger off ripley, that was one man for a a few 'fingers' and the tail. and the face hugger is the weakest form of xenomorph (next to the chest burster who has little to no strength because its just a snake-like form)
yes, human marines have killed xenomorphs before, but humans have also killed alot of other things, like gorilla's. does that mean we're able to over-power gorilla's? or do you mean WITHOUT the use of a gun or other tool? as in with bare hands? no, a human has NEVER been able to kill a xenomorph in CQC with no gun or other tool. we'd be dead for sure (unless you wanna include the newest, latest, non-cannon edition, Mortal Kombat X, but that's a CQC game, they had to massively nerf the xeno for fair balanced game-play, they did the same to the pred in it too)
so, in short, your average Xenomorph would easily overpower Geralt. he's strong, but not strong enough. and without tools, no human, and very few aliens could kill the Xenomorph, or even harm it, in CQC
Marines are no "peak humans" in terms of strength, same with the Men who tried to wrestle the Facehugger of Ripleuy.
He fist fought a Rock Troll and a Striga as well as flipped Saskia over. Of course the ladder was with some leverage and attacking the weak spot. And also keep in mind that Geralt has fought Monsters that would make mincemeat of Xenomorphs. Of course, it's with prep and in these odds shown in the picture, it's not likely in Geralts favor, but he seems prepared.
not to mention a xenomorph can tear - TEAR, as in rip apart with their bare hands (Claws) - through inches of reinforced steel and other strong, dense hardened molecular materials, has geralt ever torn through a soldiers Armour with his fists? or a rock troll's hide? has he even torn off a man's head?
also, was that a grammer error
"Plus Geralt clearly strong and tough enough to likely overpower a single Xenomorph."
and also, geralt couldn't overpower a face-hugger, the weakest xenomorph life form, let alone a lone drone; haven't you read up on both characters before replying? done your research? you're clearly not well versed in a xenomorphs - and gearalts for that matter - strengths and weaknesses, i'v been a fan of both the witcher and the Aliens series for as long as i can remember and i'm pretty sure that just because you can shoot and kill a bear or gorilla from long range, with a rifle, doesn't make you stronger then it. that's just a metaphor, in case you weren't aware
i'm going to still state that geralt would get his ass handed to him, unless you can provide me with proof of the contrary. he would survive for a maybe a few minutes inside a hive due to igni, if he knew to use it, but that's about it, anything else would only slow them down (using ard to push them back), using a sword to try and cut them (if it even got through their armored exo-skeleton) would result in acid blood splashing on the user (unless you specifically aim for the joints. there's less acid splash in the joints)
there are none that could 'make mincemeat' out of them. a dragon, and other flame based draconids could use flame based attacks for hit and run's but its only a matter of time before a face hugger gets inside and infects them.
trolls could try to smash them, as could giants, which would result in large ammounts of acid blood metling them alive, that is if the xenomorphs don't spit acid on them first (some xenomorphs do that)
neckers could try to rush them, wouldnt end well for a large number of them though to get even one xenomorph down
necrophages, being former humans (drowners, rot feinds) would still be easy pickings for a xenomorph
while those are but a few choices, i'd have to say that: of all creatures in the witcher verse, vampires would be among those to survive longest, due to their regenerative abilities. but o it'd be delaying the inevitable: which i don't know if it would be death or a fate worse then death for the vampires, such as being used as a regenerating, permanent host for new xenomorphs (a vampire can only be truly killed by another vampire....would that count for a xenomorph-vampire? i'm not certain)
now the specters, like wraith's....there's an interesting thought....could the two hurt one another? would the two even bother one another?
Shaelmars, Leshens, Earth and Fire Elementals, werewolves, Ghouls, Chorts, and Fiends, would make mincemeat of Xenomorphs. The acid wouldn't bother them, as they could only be hurt by silver or special items, as well as their healing factors, so they would shrug of acid like nobody's business. Djinn would automize Xenomorphs instantly. Vampires and Drowners wouldn't be impregnated, but it's most likely that acid will hurt them. I agree with Nekkers and Water Hags though.
Giants are large enough that even if acid did splatter on them, they are too big to give a damn.
Several Types of Dragons are unlikely to get affected because of their shapeshifting abilities, and their ability to crunch a Facehugger under their jaws. Again, acid blood won't affect them, would heal instantly.
Geralt's Heliotrope and Yrden, as well as Axii, are also major factors.
The other-dimensional nature could arguably make it unlikely for the Xenomorphs to posses most of these creatures.
There are plenty of aliens and otherworldly beings that can likely harm a Xenomorph in CQC.
Some humans can, but not in terms of "realistic" universes.
I see your point though.
Well, when it comes to "nerfing" the Xenomorph and Predator..yes and no. Yes, they did have to balance the gameplay, but there are plenty of beings in MK's lore that could stand up to and overpower both of those characters.
Congrats on the DD, this is fantastic
